Highlights of the week's children's events
What child-friendly activities can be found in Helsinki? Where to go with small children on weekends? What to do on a rainy day? Pienten Helsinki's weekly series searches for activity tips and recommends child-friendly places in Helsinki and the surrounding area. The target audience of the website is pre-school children and families with children.
Where to go this week -article continues with a slightly modified concept. The article lists the week's event highlights and the most interesting activity tips of the week. It also includes highlights from Pienten Helsinki's news and new stories, as well as a new "Have you ever visited" place that changes weekly. The future of the site is still open, but we will continue with this concept for the spring.
Pienten Helsinki's new year "Children in restaurants" challenge has been published!
Pienten Helsinki challenges all families looking for a lunch spot with children or hunting for a good child-friendly restaurant to share their best tips with others facing the same challenges. The dream is to create a comprehensive list of cafes and restaurants that have proven to be truly good or at least functional with children, accessible through one link, and to make life easier for many other families.
Upcoming events in spring 2019 -list is currently being updated. Thank you to everyone who has suggested upcoming events!
This week's "Have you ever visited" place is playground Santahamina. The military island also has its own city-maintained playground where activities open to everyone are organized. To access the playground, you must notify your arrival to the Santahamina gate in advance, but this can be arranged through the playground instructors by phone - preferably two days before. Those over 15 also need an ID card. More detailed instructions can be found on the playground's website. Visit, for example, a Tuesday baby-toddler morning to meet families living in Santahamina!
The article's cover image is from Annantalo's Valofavela exhibition, which is on display until 31.1.2019.
