What child-friendly activities can you find in Helsinki? Where to go with kids on weekends? What to do on a rainy day? Pienten Helsinki's weekly series searches for activity tips and suggests family-friendly events in Helsinki and the surrounding area. The website targets families with pre-school-aged children.
Where to go this week -article continues to be published with a slightly modified concept. The article lists the highlights of the week's events and the most interesting activity tips. It also includes highlights from Pienten Helsinki articles and news. The future of the page is very open. If you want your advertisement to reach your target audience excellently on this page, read more here.
Family city routes: The first four family city routes have now been published! The first city routes lead on adventures around Helsinki: to Haaga, Pitäjänmäki, Ruskeasuo, and Vuosaari. Family city routes are a new type of urban tourism concept that takes you on an exploration to new places and shows your neighborhood in a new light. It also challenges you to think about whether it's always necessary to travel far to experience something new and unprecedented. City routes are part of Heidi Säynätkari's restaurant management studies thesis, which is implemented in collaboration with Pienten Helsinki. "The idea for city routes came from my own interest in urban tourism with children, and especially from the desire to explore cities outside city centers."
You can also create your own route and share it with other adventurers!

Pienten Helsinki as an app on your phone!
Pienten Helsinki now also works as a PWA app. You can install Pienten Helsinki on your Android or iPhone by simply opening the page in Chrome or Safari browser and selecting Add to home screen from the share button. A PWA app differs from a traditional app in that it doesn't need to be separately installed from the App Store or similar. Practically, the content is exactly the same as in the browser, but the page loads faster.
Pienten Helsinki does not require registration to function now, nor ever.
