What child-friendly activities can you find in Helsinki? Where to go with kids on the weekend? What to do on a rainy day? Little Helsinki's weekly series searches for activity tips and highlights family-friendly events in Helsinki and the surrounding area. The target audience of the site is families with pre-school children. For example, daycare centers also follow the article series and pick up ideas.

Where to go this week -article continues to be published with a slightly changed concept. The article lists the highlights of the week's events and the week's most interesting activity tips. Also included are highlights from Little Helsinki articles and news. The future of the site is very open. If you want your advertisement to reach an excellent target audience on this site, read more here.

Family City Trails: The first four Family City Trails have now been published! The first city trails take you on an adventure around Helsinki: to Haaga, Pitäjänmäki, Ruskeasuo, and Vuosaari.
Family City Trails is an innovative urban tourism concept that takes you on a research expedition to new places and shows your home neighborhoods in a new light. It also challenges you to think about whether it's always necessary to travel far to experience something new and unprecedented. City Trails are part of Heidi Säynätkari's hospitality management thesis, which is being carried out in cooperation with Little Helsinki. "The idea of city trails came from my own interest in urban tourism with children, and especially a desire to explore cities outside city centers."
You can also create your own trail and share it with other adventurers!
Read more about city trails and set off on an adventure!

OmaStadi voting is underway throughout October and there are many good suggestions. Little Helsinki recommends (selfishly) checking out at least the Crowdfunding for good ideas proposal and the proposal to get a playground to the city's finest park. More information about OmaStadi and voting can be found on the city's website.

Little Helsinki as an App on Your Phone!

Little Helsinki now works as a PWA app. You can install Little Helsinki on your Android or iPhone by simply opening the page in Chrome or Safari browser and selecting "Add to Home Screen" from the share menu. A PWA app differs from a traditional app in that it doesn't need to be installed separately from the App Store or equivalent. In practice, the content is exactly the same as in the browser, but the page loads faster.
Little Helsinki does not require registration to work now, nor ever will.
