Week's highlights of children's events
What suitable activities for children can be found in Helsinki? Where to go with small children on weekends? What to do on a rainy day? Pienten Helsinki's weekly series seeks activity tips and highlights family-friendly places in Helsinki and the surrounding area. The target audience of the website is preschool-aged children and families with children.
Where to go this week -article continues with a slightly modified concept. The article lists the week's event highlights and the week's most interesting activity tips. Also included are highlights from Pienten Helsinki's news and new articles. The future of the page remains open, but this concept will continue through spring.
Pienten Helsinki's New Year's challenge "Children at restaurants" has been published!
Pienten Helsinki challenges all families searching for a lunch spot or hunting for a good child-friendly restaurant to share their best tips with others facing similar challenges. The goal is to create a comprehensive list of cafes and restaurants that have proven to be truly good or at least functional with children, accessible through one link and to make life easier for many other families.
The "Upcoming events in spring 2019" list has now published its first events.
The article's cover image is from the central library Oodi. The peer support group for strollers and prams meets daily at the central library Oodi. Join them!
Week's TIP: Did you know that in the Kino Regina opening on weekends at Oodi, films are also shown for children? www.kinoregina.fi

New: Pienten Helsinki as an app on your phone!
Pienten Helsinki now also works as a PWA app. You can install Pienten Helsinki on your Android or iPhone by simply opening the page in Chrome or Safari browser and selecting "Add to home screen" from the share button. A PWA app differs from a traditional app in that it doesn't need to be installed separately from the App Store or similar. In practice, the content is exactly the same as in a browser, but theoretically loads faster.
Pienten Helsinki does not require registration to function now, nor ever will.
