Wee Helsinki recommends trips to at least Tullisaari as well as Stansviken Manor Park in Laajasalo, Herttoniemi Manor Park, and Sibelius Park (with a wonderful new playground!) in Töölö. Espoo's Träskanda Manor Park is also wonderful!
  • Sheep Island and Kuusiluoto, Talo Island, Seurasaari, Suomenlinna, Kruunuvuori... are just some of the many suitable trip destinations. You can create your own theme for the trip or follow a planned route. For example, you can discover Suomenlinna in many different ways, like flashlight orienteering in caves or spotting ships at Kustkamiekka.
Note! The boardwalks to Kuusiluoto have been renovated and now you can reach the island with dry feet and even with strollers (though Kuusiluoto only has narrow paths)!
  • From Wee Finland you'll find over 1,000 reasons to travel in Finland with children!

Day trips or travel elsewhere in Finland

  • Pumpkin Weeks in the Salo region October 10-26, 2025.
  • Rannikon Garden's Pumpkin Park in Halikko is truly an experience!
Be sure to use the parking instructions and, for example, the free bus from Salo to the park, as the area gets very crowded in the evenings with lots of people and parking congestion. The event is in a field, so boots are a good choice.
Free admission to Haliko Pumpkin Park.
