Albert's Living Room, a family meeting place open to all at Albertinkatu 33, is open Mondays from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (International Mondays).
Art Clinic: What Happens to the Wolf Doll?
Art clinic for 3-5-year-olds at Annan House on Mondays at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The family's smaller children, babies and toddlers can also participate in experiencing the art clinic atmosphere. Free admission.
Korkeasaari Zoo's free day with free admission from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Family Fun Activities at Tapanila Elementary School (Veljestenpiha 2) Mondays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. from September 5 to December 12, 2022. Free admission.

Korkeasaari Zoo is open on Independence Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission fee applies.
Winter Garden is open on Independence Day from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Free admission.
Espoo: Children's Independence Day Celebration on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Free admission.
Kannel House Independence Day Celebration on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Programs for children too. Free admission.
Official Independence Day Celebrations
Traditional University Student Torch Parade departs from Hietaniemi Cemetery on Tuesday at 5 p.m. and passes by the Presidential Palace to greet the presidential couple. After the parade, at approximately 5:55 p.m., songs including the national anthem are sung at Senate Square. Anyone can join the parade!
According to tradition two candles are lit in windows at 6 p.m.
A touching walk through cemeteries as dusk falls. For example, Hietaniemi war graves and the presidential graves are a solemn sight on Independence Day.

Due to Independence Day playgrounds are closed. Playground outdoor areas are always available.

Open on Independence Day are some self-service libraries and the Central Library Oodi and Kannelmäki Library in Helsinki. Other libraries are closed.

For babies and parents! BabyKino at Kallio Library. You can bring your baby to films on Wednesdays at 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The BabyKino group on Facebook can be found here, where the week's film is posted and you can vote on upcoming programs.
