Kindergarten Museum's Easter
The Kindergarten Museum celebrates Easter starting Wednesday, 10.4.2019 from 12-18. More information will be published closer to the event on the Kindergarten Museum's Facebook page.
Easter MEOW! Easter at the Puppet Theatre
Puppet Theatre Sampo's program runs through Easter with the MEOW! Easter at the puppet theatre performance, which showcases Easter folk traditions and beliefs in a lively puppet theatre cavalcade. Performances at Sampo's own stage and also at cultural centers around the capital area. Tickets 12 €. See performance times and book tickets at Sampo's website.

Vuotalo's Easter 2019
At Vuotalo's Easter event on Saturday at 11 o'clock, the whole family celebrates Easter. The program includes Easter crafts, crepe workshops and the bilingual children's band Flip Flop (tickets 6 €). Teurasmoki Easter Markets

Winter Garden's Easter
The Winter Garden fills with the splendor of Easter flowers and Easter decorations and invites everyone to enjoy the spring atmosphere from 16.4.-23.4.2019 (open Tuesday 9-15 and Wednesday and Thursday 12-15). On Easter days from Friday to Monday, the Winter Garden is open 12-16. Admission to the garden is free. Stroller use in the greenhouse is not possible due to visitor numbers, so for the smallest ones it's worth bringing, for example, a carrier. You can bring your own food to the Winter Garden, and in previous years a small café has operated in connection with events.
Puppet Theatre Sytkyt at the Winter Garden
Following tradition, this year too at the Winter Garden you can enjoy Sytkyt's performances for children during Easter. Admission to the performances is free.

Kaisaniemi Botanical Garden
At Kaisaniemi Botanical Garden in the greenhouses and outdoor garden you can admire spring awakening. Admission to the outdoor garden is free, admission to the greenhouse requires a fee (museum card venue).
On Easter, the botanical garden's greenhouses are open on Maundy Thursday 10-17, closed on Good Friday, open on Wire Saturday 10-17, Sunday 10-16 and closed on Monday.
The outdoor garden is open every day year-round 9–20.
Korkeasaari is Easter Island
Korkeasaari becomes Easter Island on 19.-22.4.2019 and offers signs of spring and activities throughout the island. Korkeasaari is open daily 10-18 during Easter. Zoo admission fee (12 €/ 6 €, free for children under 4). Read more about Easter Island events on Korkeasaari's website.
Easter at Haltiala
Haltiala Farm's Easter features nearly a hundred newborn lambs, cows in outdoor pasture, pony riding (paid), and excellent playgrounds. The café-restaurant Wanha Pehtoori also serves on Easter. Admission to Haltiala Farm is free.
Haltiala Farm's lamb shed is open during Easter 2019 from Saturday to Monday 11-18, closed on Good Friday, but the farm is otherwise open on Good Friday as well.

Fallkulla Farm Easter
Fallkulla Farm is open daily during Easter 10-15. The café Kilikuppila also serves daily.
At Fallkulla you can see and pet many animals, admire chicks and sheep. Admission to Fallkulla Farm is free. A large parking area at Tapanila train station, from which it's less than a 10-minute walk to Fallkulla.
Seurasaari Easter Bonfires
Seurasaari's Easter bonfires are lit at the Celebration Field on Saturday 20.4.2019 at 18.30. Admission to the event is free. More information and the history of Easter bonfires can be found on the Seurasaari Foundation's website.
Uutela Hut
Uutela Hut is open on Easter holidays longer than usual and you can enjoy ready-made fires, even with your own packed lunch. The hut is located in the Uutela outdoor area, right next to the Skatan farm and the Särkkäniemi nature reserve. It's just over a kilometer from Aurinkolahti Cafe Kampela to the hut.

Outdoor activities
Other great outdoor and hiking spots on a sunny day in Helsinki include, for example, Sheep Island and Kuusiluoto, Seurasaari, the southern tip of Vattuniemi in Lauttasaari (and possibly Sisähatu Island, which in recent days has been accessible on foot), Mustikkamaa and Suomenlinna.
Cafes on Easter
At Easter, at least the following well-established cafés for children near outdoor hiking trails or playgrounds are open: Café Villa Ullas in Kallahti, Vuosaari is open daily throughout Easter 10-16 and café Svenkka next to the Puotila manor is open 11-16 on Easter holidays. At the southern tip of Lauttasaari, Cafe Paseo is open throughout Easter, as is Cafe Regatta in Töölö on Merikannonkatu. In Espoo, Villa Elfvik Café is open throughout Easter and the area's easily accessible nature trails are suitable for young adventurers too.

To the Museum
Easter at the Ateneum
At the Ateneum you can paint Easter eggs at the Easter Bunny's Nonstop Workshop on Saturday 11-14. Museum admission fee, children under 18 free, museum card venue. The Ateneum is closed on Good Friday and on Easter Monday.
Easter's Sweetest Workshop at the Hotel and Restaurant Museum

Theatre Cat's Easter Adventure at the Theatre Museum
Theatre Cat's Easter Adventure: Muru Blackbird's Lost Voice at the Theatre Museum at Kaapelitehdas on Saturday and Sunday 20.-21.4.2019 from 12–15. You can come at your own pace, but no later than 14.30.

Easter Events in the Surrounding Area
Porvoo: Kungsbacka Farm's Easter Celebration 21.-22.4.2019 from 10.30-15. Tickets 9-10€/ 5 €, free for children under 3. Most of the animals are on display, some indoors and some outdoors.
