New Year events for families on 31.12.2025

  • Manta's Christmas Market is open until 6.1.2026, also on New Year's Eve, next to Market Square, around the Havis Amanda statue. Free entry.
  • Children's New Year and Hevisaurus at Kansalaistori on Wednesday 31.12.2025 from 17–18. Free entry.
    The children's program concludes with a whole family pyro show at Kansalaistori at around 18.
    Note! The children's New Year concert will not be recorded or broadcast online this year.
  • Espoo: Espoo's New Year 2025 event at the Ice Garden and Espoo Cultural Centre in Tapiola Centre has programs for children on Wednesday 31.12.2025 from 17-22.

Where can you see New Year fireworks in Helsinki and the capital region? Or experience New Year's pyro and light show performances? Family-friendly New Year fireworks displays and pyro and light art events are being held on New Year's Eve Wednesday 31.12.2025 in at least the following places:

  • Helsinki: Helsinki's city New Year pyroshow near Kansalaistori at midnight at 00.
    Helsinki's New Year can be followed as a live broadcast on Nelonen and Ruutu from 22.30 onwards.

    Weather conditions may prevent fireworks from being held, so it's always a good idea to check the latest event information from the organizer's website.

Unofficial fireworks in Helsinki

In several Helsinki neighborhoods, unofficial, community fireworks have been organized in previous years during the early evening and evening hours. More information can be found from your neighborhood's Facebook groups. For example, in the places listed below have previously organized residents' unofficial community gatherings and held fireworks for families from around 18-20.
