Travel tips for families throughout Finland

Small Finland's map service, offering over 1000 child-friendly travel destinations in Finland, is now available and invites adventures throughout Finland!

Small Finland takes you on journeys to interesting places with children: the map features museums, swimming spots, animals, activities, playgrounds, new experiences and much more suitable for children! The collaborative map service collects the best tips for domestic travel with children on one website, making it even easier to find destinations with the new map service.

The idea for Small Finland originated in spring 2019 from a personal need to find less well-known stops or holiday destinations in Finland. The pandemic years launched the project when domestic tourism became a phenomenon and no similar service could be found. What distinguishes Small Finland from other travel services is that every destination on the map has been recommended by someone else traveling with children, and it includes many destinations you won't find in other travel services.

The new map has now been launched! Development of the map and website continues and new destination tips are gladly welcomed. Suggesting new destinations to the service is possible through the tip form. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
