New Year's Eve Fireworks and Light Shows on 31.12.2022
Where can you see New Year's Eve fireworks in Helsinki and the Greater Helsinki Area? Or experience year-end light show displays? Public fireworks displays, children's own fireworks, and light art events are being held on New Year's Eve, Saturday 31.12.2022 at least in the following locations:
- New Year's Light Park in Espoonlahti at Soukan residents' park and Puropuisto from 4-9 pm.*
Children's Fireworks at Kansalatorni in Helsinki at 6 pm.Cancelled due to wind conditions.- Children's Fireworks at Kerava's Aurinkomäki at 6 pm.
- Family Fireworks at Sipoo Nikkila's Jokilaakso at 6 pm.
- Espoo New Year with laser light and drum shows and circus and fire performances at Vermo Arena from 6-9 pm. *
- Järvenpää City Fireworks launched from Rantapark at 7 pm.
- In Porvoo at the Art Factory you can see pyrotechnics, lasers, sound and fog at 7 pm.*
- New Year's Fireworks in Nummela town center at 7 pm.
Helsinki City New Year's Fireworks near Kansalatorni at midnight.

*Events marked with * are not traditional fireworks, but new types of light events for celebrating New Year.
Unofficial Fireworks in Helsinki
In many Helsinki neighborhoods, residents have also organized unofficial community fireworks in previous years during early evening and evening hours. More information can be found in your neighborhood's Facebook groups. For example, the locations listed below have previously organized resident unofficial gatherings and fireworks for families around 6-8 pm.

Lights in the City
Helsinki's parks and streets as well as buildings are lit to bring light to the darkness and Christmas atmosphere to the city. The illuminated Christmas trees on Keskuskatu, the lights and animal figures in Espa Park, the Christmas street lights on Aleksanterinkatu and numerous Christmas lights and various Christmas decorations in many shopping centers and their surroundings shine brightly.
