Pienten Helsinki's weekly "Where to go this week" series returns after a break that began in the spring due to coronavirus and seeks activity tips and child-friendly events in Helsinki and the surrounding area. The website targets families with children under ten years old.

The autumn season for playgrounds and family centers began on Thursday, August 13, 2020 and all playgrounds and family centers are open again as normal.
Playground weekly programs appear to be available so far only on the playgrounds' own websites and/or Facebook pages.

Alberto's Living Room is an open meeting place for families with children and seniors in Kamppi. Alberto's Living Room is open on Mondays from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, taking the exceptional circumstances into account.

Espoo: Saturday Workshop: Landscape Architecture for Critters at Children's Cultural Center Aurora on Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM. The workshop is suitable for all ages. Free admission.
Lauttasaari Day is being celebrated this year around the island on Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Bokbio: Short film and crafts at the Nordic Culture Point library on Saturday at 11 AM. Suitable for ages 2-6. Bilingual.
Meilahti Day pop-up event at Valpuri Park on Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM.
Espoo: Adventuring Families tour event at Oittaa outdoor recreation area on Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM with a guided nature walk and fun activity stations. Free admission.
Pihlajamäki village celebration children's playground at Maasälvä Park on Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM.
Espoo: Flying squirrel nature Saturday at Haltia Nature Center grounds on Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM. The outdoor program is free, admission to Haltia's indoor exhibitions requires a ticket.
Kerava: Circus and Art Saturday in Kerava downtown starting at 11 AM. Events for children, also Suomen Tivoli amusement park on the grounds.
Helsinki-Malmi Fly In event at Malmi Airport on Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM. Free admission.
ToPoN Toddler Club at Munkkiniemi Joint School gym hall on Saturday from 2:30 PM to 4 PM. An event open to everyone with games, activities, obstacle courses and ball games.
Matchbox Company presents: Prince Rei performance at Kanneltalo on Saturday at 3 PM. Tickets €6. The performance is recommended for ages 5 and up.
