Helsinki Day 2018 with Little Ones

Updated 12.6.2018

Helsinki Day and Helsinki’s 468th birthday celebration will be held again on Tuesday, 12.6.2018 all around the city. During the day, various events will be organized throughout the city, and there’s plenty for children to do as well.

Pienten Helsinki has gathered event tips and highlights suitable for preschool-aged children and families with little ones for Helsinki Day. Pienten Helsinki has been involved in planning, for example, the Helsinki City Museum’s Helsinki Day program and hoped for calm activities for little ones. We borrowed Kari Delcos’ “Playing with Tiles” artwork from Espoo’s EMMA for the hallway on the 4th floor of the city museum, so we hope both little ones and adults will get excited about playing and building with colorful tiles and exploring the city museum’s other Helsinki Day activities.

The full Helsinki Day program can be found at www.helsinkipaiva.fi. On the site, you can browse the day’s activity tips by children’s events as well as by neighborhood, for example.
