Helsinki Day is being celebrated this year exceptionally with only a virtual program, and you can enjoy a diverse range of activities from your home sofa. Little Helsinki has gathered quick tips for celebrating the day with children.

The Night of the Arts events take over Helsinki on Thursday, August 15, 2019, marking Helsinki's 30th anniversary celebration. Pienten Helsinki (Little Helsinki) has gathered its own favorites for families heading to Helsinki's Night of the Arts for children. The program includes fascinating experiences, robots, play, music, and all kinds of children's culture.

The complete program for this classic event can be found on the Helsinki Festival Weeks website, and you can also browse the Night of the Arts program specifically for child-friendly events. Admission to all events is free unless otherwise stated. On the Night of the Arts, admission to many of Helsinki's museums is also free.

The playgrounds offer guided and self-guided summer activities, playing, paddling, eating together, singing and spending time with friends. In addition, the parks have themed weeks, events and, for example, the Traditional Games tour. My Museum Buddy and I: HAM Helsinki

HAM Helsinki on the second floor of the Tennis Palace is actually quite an easy and convenient museum destination for children: since there's plenty of other things to marvel at in the Tennis Palace and HAM offers interesting exhibitions in an accessible environment.
